Health Nuts Swap Diets With Junk Food

“So, I‘m eating grass?”

Junk food is unhealthful food that is high in calories from sugar or fat, with little dietary fiber, protein, vitamins, minerals, or other important forms of nutritional value.

Precise definitions vary by purpose and over time. Some high-protein foods, like meat prepared with saturated fat, may be considered junk food. The term HFSS foods (high in fat, salt and sugar) is used synonymously. Fast food and fast food restaurants are often equated with junk food, although fast foods cannot be categorically described as junk food. Most junk food is highly processed food.

Concerns about the negative health effects resulting from a junk food-heavy diet, especially obesity, have resulted in public health awareness campaigns, and restrictions on advertising and sale in several countries.

Junk food is a pejorative dating back at least to the 1950s.

The term junk food dates back at least to the early 1950s, although its coinage has been credited to Michael F. Jacobson of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, in 1972. In 1952, the phrase appeared in a headline in the Lima, Ohio, News, “‘Junk Foods’ Cause Serious Malnutrition”, over a reprint of a 1948 article from the Ogden, Utah, Standard-Examiner, originally titled, “Dr. Brady’s Health Column: More Junk Than Food”. In the article, Dr. Brady writes, “What Mrs. H calls ‘junk’ I call cheat food. That is anything made principally of (1) white flour and or (2) refined white sugar or syrup. For example, white bread, crackers, cake, candy, ice cream soda, chocolate malted, sundaes, sweetened carbonated beverages.” The term cheat food can be traced back in newspaper mentions to at least 1916.

    1. You can tell the health nut works out from looking at her body. The unhealthy one just has crazy fast metabolism

    1. selina xn
Imagine only commenting on the unhealthy junk food addict LOL. She is quite pretty but so is the healthy girl, she deserves a ton of praise for keeping up the great work that we all wish we could do.

    2. Ik this is late but there are some sane people who agreed and disagreed and then the people who got offended for no reason like bruh ok someone does not find her attractive who cares and calling her asian is not racist tf

    3. @Nola Gamer2008 no it is not she/he is describing her race omg nobody cant say nothing without being attacked smh!

  1. Other person: YEAH,I am feeling calm eating healthy I even went on a hike with my dog today
Other person: I NEED MY VEGGIES BACK

    1. @Jessica Scaccia Nah it’s cause she eats little portion. It’s calories in calories out.

  2. Everybody here hating on the healthy girl and not understanding how someone can crave a green juice… Honestly if you’re used to eating so healthy then junk food will actually make you feel like crap I mean she’s just being real. Sadly, barely anyone understands because most people prefer junk. It’s just the truth, the health nut was just being honest

    1. And also some people just don’t have the strength mentally to do what the “healthy girl” does

    2. Thank you I’m used to being healthy bc my whole family is and I understand that healthy girl

    3. Yessss ! I was just about to say that ! I’m exactly the same way !!! Especially when you actually have enjoy the healthy foods you eat ! I’m exactly the same way . I enjoy eating healthy and I can’t imagine eating junk food constantly like that . It’s just not part of my nature

  3. I get the feeling that if this were a swap where the junk food addict was overweight, the comment section would be bananas.

    1. Brie’s Thoughts SO true. no one talks abt how unhealthy the diet is until theyre not skinny then they tell the person to exercise, etc. its still terrible for ur body regardless doesnt matter how thin you are or fast your metabolism is

    2. @K R yes, but the point was that you can be a “junk food addict” and not be overweight, and it’s not because you’re “naturally thin”

  4. FOR EVERYONE HATING ON THE HEALTHY GIRL: damn okay. yeah, i understand how she didn’t “try” as hard as the unhealthy girl, but think about this- when you’re super used to eating healthy, your body is not used to unhealthy, non-nutritious foods. therefore, you feel like total crap (mentally and physically) when you eat it, and it honestly affects how you feel and function, unlike the people who are used to eating junk food. it doesn’t benefit your health or body in any way shape or form. healthy eating does. it can help develop healthy habits which is very good, and yeah, it sucks, but at least the unhealthy girl was putting nutritious foods into her body. when you eat unhealthy and have to eat something healthy, you have the mindset of, “oh, this might not be fun, but at least im eating healthy, and this is benefiting me!” meanwhile, if you eat healthy and have to eat something unhealthy you’ll have the mindset of, “this sucks, and it’s bad for me too. im not benefiting at all from this, and it’s bad for my body!” SO before getting all judgemental, at least think of her side of the story too. 🙂

    1. lydx I eat super healthy and I understand the healthy girl’s struggle but I also feel she shouldn’t have taken the challenge if she wasn’t going to try sticking to it. 🙁 isn’t that the whole point of “challenge”? Maybe it was a lot harder than she thought it was??

    2. I get that, but if she thought that way, she shouldn’t have even participated… she knew what she was getting into.

    3. Yeah ..i get that . But then why would you agree to do this challenge then ? If youre going to agree / volunteer to do the challenge then you should actually consider beforehand whether you can go through with it right ? No ones forcing her to do this

  5. How can that Asian girl eat junk food and be that skinny and looking so good?
The healthy girl also looked good no hate 😂❤️

    1. just because someone look a certain way (clear, lovely, soft skin) it doesn’t always mean there doing things the right way (doesn’t always mean there healthy) or just because someone looks a certain way (acne, pimple, spots) doesn’t always mean there doing things the wrong way (they might be healthy) looks are just natural.

    1. It’s just practice. If you get used to eating healthy you’ll enjoy it more and you’ll start to dislike unhealthy.

    2. i LOVE ginger shots! go to whole foods and try them and get a green juice. its so good and the first time i had it i felt weird and uncomfortable cause ID NEVER FELT THAT GOOD BEFORE so i thought it was bad

  6. Everyone’s saying that the “unhealthy” girl looks more healthy than the “healthy girl”. I just want everyone to know that you don’t have to be super skinny to be healthy.

    1. Yea, and another point is that girls that have super low body fat are actually unhealthy. Its dangerous for both guys and women to have low body fat but the effects are worse for woman.

    2. Yes, the healthy girl is a little bulkier but I’d wager it’s because she probably also works out A LOT.

    3. lovesdogs12345 yep, for eg many skinny people dont accumulate fat on the outside even after going to mac donalds daily!! But nothing is preventing the dangerous fat from geowing around the vital organs like heart, lungs, etc. So many people who think that they are healthy might have diseased organs

  7. I just feel that after years of eating healthy food, her body simply rejected the junk. That’s why the tiredness in the yoga class maybe.

  8. I eat really healthy, my mum is a bit of a health freak, but when I eat unhealthy I feel so freaking bad so I understand that healthy girl wanting green juice and stuff. I would choose a smoothie over something like fanta tbh. I eat healthy cos I have oily skin and I don’t want to break out.
Sorry this was quite a long comment lol

    1. @Ian Marti Their comment was relevant to the video and thus worth sharing. Yours, on the other hand, did not contribute in any way and the only thing it accomplished was making me waste my time writing this.

    2. Same, my mom’s super health conscientious, and I’m like that too. It makes me feel good to eat healthy stuff, and I don’t really like junk food, except mint chip ice cream. I frickin LOVE mint chip ice cream.

But I feel like if I was raised to eat more junk food, it would be so much harder to eat healthy. That’s why I don’t understand how parents can give their kids junk food. My parents are the busiest people I know, but they still found time to cook good food. And most of the time, it’s less expensive than junk food. Lentil soup is dirt cheap, super healthy, and delicious with boiled carrots and tomatoes.

I went on a tangent here xD have a nice day guys <3

  9. The unhealthy one: eats a full pizza
    gains: 0.2 pounds

    Me: smells a skittle

    gains: 1k pounds

    1. Kira Nolan
When you eat healthy u don’t lose weight immediately the junk food was still in ur stomach so u gained weight and u lost weight after the healthy eating 🤦🏻‍♂️

    2. Whatisthisshit
Tf??? “Kg pound?” Imagine if someone weighed “1kg pound” sis wtf do u mean I-

  10. Skinny doesn’t mean healthy

    Muscles means your healthy

Stop saying she’s fatter then the junk food girl cause I don’t know if you know but there’s something also called metabolism

    1. Honestly, it is hilarious, a lot of people are like “hOw iS sHe sO sKInny”
I guess people are now starting to forget that you can have muscles

    2. Katie Kat lmao I’m skinny but i eat garbage, I feel like once I’m older and get my own house, then I’ll be healthy because then I can cook for me

    3. Muscles don’t mean your healthy a lot of stuff contribute to being healthy but it’s good to have muscle definition for sure just a lot of people aren’t a fan of having a bunch of muscle
